Modern breastfeeding support?
What a bloody letdown

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months, then continuing to breastfeed for up to two years or more to boost mum and baby’s health.

We get it—life can be a bit of a rollercoaster, and not everyone can or wants to make the two-year mark. But here's the thing: if you do want to give it a shot, you deserve all the help you can get on your breastfeeding and postpartum journey.

But, the fact is, mums aren’t getting enough support.

96% of new mums start off breastfeeding their newborn baby, but only...

50% of mums are exclusively breastfeeding three months later, and a mere...

15% are still exclusively breastfeeding 5 months after having their baby.

Research shows that in Australia (and globally breastfeeding support is inadequate, unacceptable or even inappropriate (like being pushed to breastfeed or being told that "breast is always best").

In women who wanted to breastfeed, but stopped early than planned:

47% said they stopped breastfeeding because of feeding challenges, like pain or latching issues.

40% said they stopped breastfeeding because of perceived insufficient milk supply.

Let’s nip this in the bud.

Breast-fed, chest-fed, or bottle-fed
we’re here to support everyone

We believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to feeding. We advocate for the right of parents to make feeding choices without fear of judgment or stigma based on any specific method.

Feeding infants is a choice made by people of diverse gender identities, and we respect and honour the terms and experiences that align with their identities, such as 'chest-feeding'.

Our goal is to create an inclusive space where every individual, regardless of their gender identity, family structure, or feeding choices, feels welcome, respected, and supported as caregivers.
